Communications Taxation 2021
October 11-13, 2021

COVID Updates and Procedures

Your health and safety is a priority for us. We also want all attendees to feel comfortable during the event. Our policies have been developed based on these principles.

From a regulatory point of view, there are currently NO social distancing, testing or masking requirements imposed by the Marriott, or from Local, Nashville, Tennessee or Federal agencies. If that changes, we will comply, let you know and update this page.

Our current plan regarding safety and comfort is as follows:

Increased Cleaning and Disinfection

The hotel will provide continuous cleaning throughout the course of the event, with a focus on high-touch areas such as door handles, restrooms and food and beverage areas. The exhibit and conference rooms will be closed each night for deep cleaning.

Hand washing facilities and sanitizing stations will be provided throughout the event space. We encourage all participants to regularly wash and disinfect their hands.

Food and beverage - all food will be served by hotel personnel with proper PPE equipment.

Testing and Vaccine Requirements

We will not test, require proof of a negative test, or require COVID vaccine cards/passports to attend the event. Your medical information, including your vaccine status, is your private information.

Be responsible. Negative COVID status honor system.

If you are not vaccinated, for the safety and peace of mind for everyone, we ask that you get a test before coming to the program. You are on the honor system to make sure that you are not putting others at risk.

Vaccinated but have symptoms? Get tested or stay home.

Even if you are vaccinated (or have antibodies), you can still get COVID or be COVID positive. If you have any symptoms, be cautious and get tested before coming to the program. If you can't get tested and are in doubt, stay home. We will refund you, as do most airlines and hotels.

Face Masks and other Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)

Facemasks and PPE are encouraged, but not required except in spaces where you can not fully socially distance. Specifically, if there are sessions in which you can not spread out, or don't want to spread out, you should wear a mask.

We will provide facemasks to anyone who needs one.

Respect each other's space and social distancing preference

Please respect each other's space, so that everyone can feel safe and comfortable. If you are not wearing a mask, but see a colleague who is wearing a mask, be respectful and give them 6' of space or wear a mask before approaching them. We want everyone to feel comfortable.

Extra room

We are working with the hotel to make sure that we have ample seating in the sessions so that folks who want to socially distance during the sessions, can do so. If there is not enough room to socially distance, wear a mask.

Updates

These health and safety precautionary guidelines are subject to change as directed by local authorities, and will be updated as needed to comply with any new or relaxed safety directives.

Send me your input!

If you have other ideas, concerns or suggestions on how to improve the safety procedures, please send me an email!
